Hand Therapy
Hand Therapy can help by decreasing pain, restoring strength and improving function. The hand is made up of 19 bones forming 14 joints which attach at the wrist to the radius and ulna bones of the forearm. Ligaments are like strong rubber bands that hold the bones together. There are six major ligaments that help give the wrist and hand stability. The muscles in the hand and wrist enable the fingers and thumbs to flex and move. The hand and wristsare complex. At Northwest physical therapy, we can help with a variety of problems by decreasing pain, increasing strength and improving range of motion.
Under the careful guidance of our therapists, a wide range of exercises and treatment programs are tailored to meet your specific needs and help you reach your goals. |
